Happy New Year Everyone
*As you all know, the internet has been slow and screwy these past few days. That’s the reason I’m not able to update. Not with pictures anyway. Lets hope the internet gets back to normal soon.*
I’ve been living in Kuching for nearly two years now and I’ve gone through my ups and downs.
Personally, I can’t wait to see what 2007 holds for me. This year has sort of been a blur. It went by so fast without me really accomplishing much! I only know I spent alot of money on travelling and buying clothes. It is also the year that I became extremely mellow. And the year my girlfriend and I broke up.
I’ve just realised that in the past two years, I’ve also gained nearly 10kg. Which is really shocking to me considering I still eat the same amount - maybe even less actually. But since I came back from NZ, I have been exercising alot less. Gaining weight is not good cause its the very reason why I needed new clothes!
I’m not one who makes resolutions. I hate making em. It means I am committing myself to a goal which I’m not sure I can reach.
But I think I have to make these now. Cause I’m not getting any younger and the time for cruising through life has to stop.
So my first resolution for 2007 is to lose 10kg, bringing my weight down to 75kg - which I think is ideal for my height and frame. I know its not gonna be easy… seeing as I have a love for stuffing my face with good food. I don’t have any set dieting plan… but I think its a matter of eating less and exercising more. At least I hope it is.
I also need to go out more and get fitter. Although I love staying at home watching TV and reading books, its healthy to go out more often and get some fresh air. I think I might take up trekking. I used to love going trekking when I was younger… now I’m very much a city boy!
I was playing Futsal with my friends last night and after 15 minutes of it, I felt I was going into a cardiac arrest! Its embarrasing to be panting and wheezing like a bitch when other guys who are fatter than you seem to be doing fine!
My second resolution is to write a financial plan for myself. I’ve never had one and I think its time I did. I think its time I start investing as well, rather than just letting my money sit in a bank account earning small interests.
And I guess that’s it…
The next time I update will be in 2007 I think.
I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year! May you have good health - financially, physically and mentally. And remember, don’t sweat the small stuff.
And if you need to, have yourself a Margarita!
Cheers!
